Thank you to the 8 people who's subscribed so far this morning.

I'll give it another day or so before I publish a bit more information
about how I expect this list will be used to coordinate and announce
CTUB events - but basically there's been a bit of feedback that using
Upcoming and Facebook is not ideal to organise CTUBs. They require
registration, Facebook is blocking in many places and some people have
experienced issues using Upcoming.

So we're going back to the good old mailing list. Hopefully this also
means that other people will be able to jump in and organise events
rather than it just being Stephen Collins and myself. I know a few
people have tried but due to our inadvertent monopoly of the CTUB
Twitter account and other issues it wasn't working out too well - so
by going to a mailing list it should facilitate others just jumping in
with suggestions and making events happen. Plus everyone gets their
emails (on that point, make sure you whitelist this domain) but not
everyone was seeing the CTUB tweets so this is more reliable.

We were planning a Welcome @Chisa and Welcome Home @klepas CTUB for
end of Jan but there's been a few requests for a CTUB the following
week in Feb so if people want we'll just postpone the end of Jan CTUB
and have it the following week? Don't forget there's a Social Media
Club Canberra breakfast on the morning of 30 January.
